Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Charge Master mobile application (the "App", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you install and use the App. By downloading, installing or using the App you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy, including the sections on advertising and device permissions. If you do not agree, please do not install the App, or uninstall it using our Uninstall Guide.

1. The App is free and supported by advertising

The App is provided free of charge and is funded entirely by advertising. You expressly acknowledge and agree that the App will display a significant amount of advertising, which may include, without limitation:

  • full-screen (interstitial) ads when charging starts, when charging ends, and when the charging screen is dismissed;
  • ads shown on the lock screen or over the charging animation, including when your device is idle or plugged in;
  • banner ads, native ads placed inside lists and settings screens, and rich-media or playable ads;
  • rewarded video ads offered in exchange for unlocking themes or features;
  • app-open ads displayed when the App is launched or brought to the foreground;
  • ads for other applications, games and services, including apps published by us or our partners;
  • notifications, in-app messages or recommendation units that contain promotional content.

Ads may appear frequently and may be personalised based on the information described below. Ad frequency, placement, format and volume may change at any time without notice. Advertising content is supplied by third parties and we do not control, endorse or take responsibility for it.

2. Advertising partners and identifiers

We work with third-party advertising networks, mediation platforms, measurement and attribution providers, which may include Google AdMob and Google Ad Manager, Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, Unity Ads, ironSource, Vungle, Mintegral, Pangle, Liftoff, Digital Turbine, Amazon Publisher Services, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Singular, Firebase and Google Analytics, and similar providers we may add over time.

These partners may collect and process: your Advertising ID (GAID), IP address, coarse or approximate location derived from IP, device model, manufacturer, operating system and version, screen size, language, mobile carrier and network type, time zone, app version, installed-app signals where permitted, session and usage events, ad impressions and clicks, and diagnostic identifiers. This information is used to select, deliver, measure, cap, and attribute advertising, to detect fraud, and to build interest-based advertising profiles. Under some privacy laws these activities may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising.

You can limit interest-based advertising at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or reset your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation. Ads will still be shown, but they will be less relevant.

3. Permissions the App may request

To deliver charging animations reliably, the App may request a broad set of Android permissions and special access settings. We ask for these on the safe side, meaning some permissions may be requested even if a particular feature is not currently enabled on your device. You may decline or later revoke any permission in Android Settings; some features will then not work.

  • Display over other apps / draw over other apps — to show the charging animation and related screens on top of the system UI.
  • Run at startup (BOOT_COMPLETED) and background execution — to detect charging events after a restart.
  • Battery and power state access, ignore battery optimisation — to monitor charge level, temperature, voltage and to keep the charging service alive.
  • Foreground service and wake lock — to keep the animation and clock visible while the screen is on.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — for service notices, charging alerts and promotional messages.
  • Internet, network and Wi-Fi state — to load themes, ads and analytics.
  • Storage, photos and media access — to let you set your own image or video as a charging background.
  • Vibration and audio — for charge-complete alerts and animation sounds.
  • Approximate or precise location, where enabled — for regionally appropriate advertising and legal compliance; you may deny this without losing charging features.
  • Camera or flashlight access, where the theme uses flash effects.
  • Query installed applications, where permitted — for compatibility checks and ad measurement.
  • Accessibility or usage-access settings, where offered — only to detect screen state for animations; we do not read screen content for advertising.

4. Information we collect directly

We collect technical and usage information such as device identifiers, crash logs, performance data, feature usage, selected themes, settings, purchase or subscription status where applicable, and interactions with ads. We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, SMS messages or call logs, and we do not ask you to create an account.

5. How we use information

To operate and improve the App, personalise themes, deliver and measure advertising, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and comply with legal obligations. Our legal bases where the GDPR applies are consent (advertising and analytics), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement) and legal obligation.

6. Sharing

We share information with advertising, analytics, attribution, cloud hosting and support providers, with app-store platforms, and where required with law enforcement, regulators, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale. We do not sell information for purposes other than those described in this Policy.

7. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict processing, and opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below. You can also reset your Advertising ID, revoke permissions in Android Settings, or remove the App entirely — see the Uninstall Guide.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
